First Drafts -
I first started by getting some ideas down. since the article didn't reveal the reason as to why Madonna was late to her own show, t gave me some freedom to come up with different outcomes. What i ended up going for was a way to show how she might not of cared, doing thumbnails where she lazes around on her phone or is still getting ready way after the concert should of started.
I took three ideas to take further. The first was inspired by the VLC media player screen. However while it didn't show what the article was about, it did help get an idea of the significane of her iconic corset outfit. I ended up using it throughout every idea since it was a good way to show who it was if you saw at a glance. Blonde hair and the cone corset.

Before i found my final idea, i went a bit further with the VLC design, since i was a bit stuck at the time. I had planned to try and animate the loading screen on devices then switching the colours around. But, as i got my feedback before I could continue, i scrapped the idea since it just didn't fit in with what the article was about.
The same thing happened with my second idea. I wanted to show this time the disruption she caused at the concert, but while it would of been a good illustration any other time, it yet again just didn't fit into what i was trying to go for. I did though take the colour palette i had given it earlier to use it as inspiration for my last and final version.
Taking one of the first drafts I made I changed and added little things to it which I was honestly quite happy with. I had to aim for the bored and uncaring look i was initially going for so I used the idea of her still getting ready. I tried to keep it simple but detailed enough to still look like a decent drawing. While its not the style i tend to go for it's still pretty similar but with the use of different brushes for a cleaner look and simpler features. I think as long as i kept the blonde hair and the corset it wouldn't matter how I drew the face as it wouldn't be the main reason on identifying her.

I quickly did another version with some shading involved but I think I still prefer the simpler one instead.
Since I’m not confident enough to do much for the animated gif, I kept it simple with stuff I could easily do such as the eye animation and the glowing clock. The added shine on the lips was mostly just for fun and to stand out a little more cause I didn’t think there was enough movement going in.
